Welcome!
I am a PhD candidate in Economics at the University of Bonn (BGSE). I am also a doctoral researcher at the Kiel Institute.
My research interests lie at the intersection of Finance and Macroeconomics.
I focus on inflation dynamics and its interactions with financial markets, banks and the macroeconomy.
I use empirical methods and often leverage new historical data sources.
In my job market paper, “The Credit Channel of Inflation”, I show that inflation can induce a credit contraction via bank balance sheets, constraining investment of borrower firms and depressing real economic activity.
